School Vision

Our Vision

At Lilycroft Primary School, we believe in Learning Together, Growing Together and Succeeding Together as part of Team LPS.  Our vision is to nurture confident, well-rounded and academically successful young people who develop strong character and embrace our seven core values:

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Resilience, Empathy, Self-Awareness, Passion, Excellence, Communication, and Teamwork

Through a happy, safe and stimulating environment, we inspire children to be curious, engaged learners who embrace challenges, develop independence and experience the joy of a broad and balanced curriculum.  We encourage our pupils to explore, experiment and persevere—learning not just from success but also from overcoming setbacks.

Our goal is to equip every child with the knowledge, skills and character to thrive in secondary school, contribute positively to their community and succeed in an ever-changing world.  Strong partnerships between children, staff, parents/carers and the wider community are at the heart of everything we do, shaping the ethos that defines Lilycroft.

Our Values

Our seven core values shape everything we do at Lilycroft Primary School, guiding our pupils in their learning, relationships and personal growth.

Resilience – Embracing Challenges with Confidence

We encourage children to develop the determination to keep going, even when faced with difficulties.  By fostering a growth mindset, we help them build the skills to overcome setbacks, persevere and achieve their goals.

Empathy – Understanding and Caring for Others

We teach children the importance of kindness, compassion and respect.  By seeing the world from different perspectives, our pupils learn to support and uplift one another, creating a positive and inclusive school environment.

Self-Awareness – Knowing Ourselves, Growing Together

Through reflection and self-evaluation, we help children understand their strengths, areas for development and emotions.  This enables them to take ownership of their learning and personal growth, making responsible choices that shape their future.

Passion – A Love for Learning and Discovery

We inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, encouraging children to explore new ideas, think creatively and develop a lifelong love of knowledge.  Passion drives motivation, helping our pupils engage deeply in their studies and interests.

Excellence – Striving to Be Our Best

We set high expectations for all our pupils, challenging them to reach their full potential.  Whether in academics, creativity, or personal achievements, we celebrate hard work, dedication and continuous improvement.

Communication – Expressing Ourselves Clearly and Confidently

We equip children with strong communication skills, enabling them to express their ideas, listen actively and collaborate effectively.  Through oracy and written expression our pupils develop confidence in their voices and perspectives.

Teamwork – Succeeding Together

We believe that success is best achieved when we work together.  Our pupils learn the value of collaboration, cooperation and shared responsibility, fostering a supportive and inclusive community where everyone is valued.
